Lusitanos are even-tempered and tend to bond eagerly to humans. Holding to its roots in the Iberian Peninsula, the Lusitano is closely related to the Andalusian. Originally bred for the military, Lusitanos have found their place in dressage and bull fighting. Courageous and courteous, this breed boasts of disposition and design, being known for superior balance and gait. Prized for millennia, Lusitanos can be found in ancient cave paintings and modern horse fairs.
